A formal association in Educational institutions comprising of Parents, Teachers & staff that is intended to facilitate parent’s participation in the college activities. PTA ensures an informal dialogue for total involvement & participation of parents at the college level. The focal aim is to engage Parents as Critical partners, who can actively contribute to the effective functioning of the college which reveals its progress.
Its purpose is to solve problems experienced by students and teachers in the college.
Objectives:
- To represent views of Parents.
- To promote the positive view of Parents through connection with Parent’s representative.
- To develop partnership between the College bodies.
- To inform Parents of Current Changes in Education system if need be.
- To work as a team & to have a yearly plan.
- To establish a forum through which Parents can communicate their opinion & concerns regarding the College, to identify the issues & possibly work towards a solution.
- To establish a forum through which Parents & teachers can exchange information & research in relation to education/welfare of children.
- To support teachers & to work with them in delivering the curriculum.
Functioning of PTA Meet:
- Every year PTA committee has been conducting one Parent-Teacher meets in each term.
- During each PTA meet, committee collecting suggestions from parents.
- Finally, PTA committee makes report on PTA meets and submitted to the Principal for further process
PTA committee outcome:
- The PTA meet has enhanced and support the educational experience, developed a close connection between college, home and community by encouraging parental involvement.
- Suggestions from the parents in the PTA meeting help to progress the college.
- Interactions between parents and teachers have been valuable for overall development of the students.

About Science Association
The Science Association is actively working in our college from the academic year 2014-15. The association conducts many activities such as science exhibitions, seminar, science quiz competition, poster presentation and power point presentation competition etc. Through these activities science association promotes research habits amongst undergraduate students. The students are exposed to eminent personalities in the field of science who encourage them to cultivate scientific attitude in solving problems and create awareness about Mother Nature.

# Cultural Committee established in the academic year 2014-15.
INTRODUCTION
The Cultural Committee of the college is versatile and hardworking. Cultural activities are performed with lots of enthusiasm. Continuous encouragement is given to students to participate & perform in various activities. College has raised a special auditorium hall. With the changing trend we have noticed a major difference in every field. Students don’t want to be bookworms; they look for other options that could help them in future. Beside this, in this high tech world, every student want to acquire knowledge in the entire field to stay updated. Co-circular activities play a vital role in the life of students. The student community here comes from diversified backgrounds, and celebrating our differences, as well as our common interests, helps us unite and learn from each other. We understand the importance of cultural sensitivity in today’s business world and the cultural committee makes the young leaders at SICES Degree College sensitive to each other’s culture.
The committee seeks to create a platform that provides the students with an opportunity to display creative talents in a variety of ways.
PURPOSE TO FRAME THE COMMITTEE
- To prepare the Annual Budget for various cultural events.
- To obtain formal permission from the College authorities to arrange programs.
- To decide the date, time and agenda of the programs.
- To inform members of staff and students about the events.
OBJECTIVE OF THE COMMITTEE
- To promote and arrange extracurricular activities to bring out the talents of students in the performing arts.
- The committee inculcate cultural interest among the students so as they could achieve grand success in various cultural fields i.e. Singing, Dancing, Stage programmes and other cultural activities.
- The department not only create cultural interest but also it inculcates moral values among the students.
WORKING MECHANISM ( FUNCTIONING) OF COMMITTEE
- The Committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the college.
- To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year.
- To prepare budget for all cultural events and take necessary steps for its approval.

Student Mentoring Cell
#Year of Establishment: 2018-19
About Student Mentoring Cell:
The Student Mentoring cell is actively working in our college from the academic year 2018-19. Mentoring is a unique method of supporting students to improve their learning and leadership skills, motivating them towards their future career development. Keeping this in mind, the college has established student mentoring cell wherein the faculty members are mentoring to the students and meet the students on day-to-day basis to listen to their issues and guide them on their overall personality development.
The Student Mentoring Cell is energetically working with all college staff, under the guidance of staff with the following primary objectives of enabling constructive interaction with the students.
Objectives of the Student Mentoring cell:
- To guide the students to understand the challenges and opportunities present in the college and develop a smooth transition to campus life.
- To counsel academically weak students and to play an important role in helping troubled students cope with academic, extra-academic and personal problems.
- To proactively try to identify problems of the students populace and to bring them to the notice of the concerned authorities.

Guidelines of the Student Mentoring Cell:
- The student mentoring cell forwards the list of students (Mentee) to the all Department HOD’s and 1OD’s and then they will allot them to the teacher (Mentor).
- There should be maximum 20-40 mentee per mentor.
- During the course mentor will conduct regular meetings with mentee
- Student Personal counseling is the main role played by each mentor.
- From this mentorship, the issues of the students are resolved by College Grievance Redressal Cell (CGRC) through proper channel.
- Student mentoring cell compile the record from mentors and then submitting to the l/c. Principal for further action.
Mentor-Mentee Distribution and Guidelines A.Y. 2021-22 – View
Role of the Mentor to students:
- The mentor should conduct regular meetings and discussions on any problem such as academic, financial, psychological, etc. and guiding them accordingly.
- To identify hobbies and fields of their interests
- Guide and motivate to improve student results.
- To conduct counseling sessions for students to build discipline at two meetings per year.
- To encourage among the students for participation in multi-skilled activities.
- Collect suggestions from the student to strengthen the teaching-learning process of the college.
- The mentor should keep the record of all details in the mentoring session.
- The mentor can involve the Parents for reforming of the student with poor performance and indifferent behavior.
Responsibilities of Mentee
- Attend meeting regularly.
- Fill the Mentoring form having 5 sections, a) Student Details, b) Student Personal Information, c) Socio-economic Background, d) Academic and Attitude.
- Provide details about continuous assessment, term end examination, co-curricular, extra-curricular activities to mentor.
- Seek advice from mentor whenever required.
Student mentoring outcome:
- Student mentoring work helps to students as solving psychosocial problems and also benefited for career guidance, role modeling, and development in communication skills.
- Through Mentor-Mentee interaction, opportunities have been increased to developed thinking ability, speaking and listening skills among the students.
- Mentorship work helps to motivate the students for the participation in various college activities.
