The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2011-2012 as an institution offering graduate course in computer science. The computing faculty, however, was introduced at the Mumbai University somewhere in 2000.Besides these programmes, the university also started offering computer related short term programmes from time to time. The department was also recognized by the UGC to provide technical training to personnel at various levels of academia & administration. Four faculty members were selected on the basis of Set exam, Master Degree in the year 2011,2017,2018,2019.

The department could meet the technological requirements through support from the College. A networked laboratory was established at the department providing state-of-art-facilities.

Student Employed:

  1. Students are employed every year by companies like TCS, Cognizant & Other for software programming.
  2. Banking sector is interested in students with background in database & networking.

To create the most conducive environment for quality academic and research oriented undergraduate education in computer science and prepare the students for a globalised technological society and orient them towards serving the society.

To create, share, and apply knowledge in Computer Science, including in interdisciplinary areas that extend the scope of Computer Science and benefit humanity; to educate students to be successful, ethical, and effective problem-solvers and life-long learners.

  2. Provide up-to-date curricula in the technical and scientific knowledge needed for the professional and academic goals of our students
  3. Teach students how to acquire new knowledge, independently, in a world that changes with ever increasing rapidity

  2. Demonstrate proficiency in at least two high-level programming languages and two operating systems.
  3. Demonstrate comprehension of modern software engineering principles.

CS department has 25 branded desktop machines that spread over one lab. It also has one K-Yan for E-Learning, one White-board for teaching, ppt presentation and one Laser printer. Also has Air Conditioner facility.
All the computers in the CS Lab are connected in LAN and provided with the internet facility.

All the computer lab and faculty and staff admin computers are interconnected and facilitated with internet.

The connection to all the users is secured with the username and password.

The internet connection has bandwidth of 1:1 ILL 16 Mbps. The connection is available to all the users 24×7 including Saturday and Sunday.

The anti-virus server console is configured for catering the centralized updating support for Students

The LCD Projectors are placed at various locations and used for students and staff, for presentations, seminars, workshops.
