The Department of Physics was established in the year 2009-10.

The Department offers B.Sc. Program. Qualified faculty members with research background. The department has been organizing a variety of activities for the personality and academic development of the student which includes lectures by eminent speakers, study tours and group discussions etc. We offer special guidance to the students for preparation of various competitive examinations. Our department is center for NGP Examination organized by IAPT, Dehradun.

To Create Platform For Students To Achieve Quality Education and Overcome Economic Barriers

To Build a Sound Academic Foundation of Students Aspiring to Pursue a Career in Arena of Physics.

  • Try to start Post graduation course.
  • To send research proposal (Minor/Major Research Projects) to various funding agency for financial assistance.

  • Dr. D. M. Sapkal Received Minor Research Project titled “Synthesis and Characterization of Cadmium Indium Sulphide (CdIn2S4) Thin Films for solar cell Application” (Rs. 65.,000/-) in 2019-2020
  • Dr. Vikas V. Deshmane was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Physicsfor thesis titled “Study of Electrical, Magnetic and Gas Sensing Properties of Nano- Fe2O3 Thick Films with Different Additives” from Savitribai Phule Pune University Pune on 3rd February 2020.

Research Optical Bench, Hall effect apparatus, e/m by Thomson method equipment, electronic kits of various circuits, Dual Channel CRO’s, Projector (KYAN), 6 Computers, one UPS, 2 Printers, Two Cupboards, 1 Table, 3 Chairsand LCD K-Yan Projector.

The total number of PHYSICS Reference books and text books available in the College library is 150. The faculty has their own personal reference books which are made available to the students as per the need and demand of the students.
