To conduct innovative research, teaching and outreach on the patterns and processes of life with a focus on plants and their environments.

Mission

To generate knowledge and produce researchers, leaders and graduates in various fields in plant sciences, microbial sciences and biotechnology capable of providing solutions to industrial, health, agricultural and environmental challenges.

• To boost the diverse applications of plants and their products and tackle emerging issues of population.
• To familiarize with current and recent technological developments in GMOs, DNA recombinant technology, applied botany etc.
• To enrich knowledge through programs such as Field excursion, projects, guest lecturers etc.
• To train students in skills related to poster making, Bio-rangoli, oral and poster presentation.
• To create interest for research and development in Botany.
